Your catalogs are very entertaining and your products very useful. You may find the following interesting. I went into the fitness store where I bought my bench and asked if they had small plates. He said they could maybe special order 1 ź pounders, but that was it. I asked him why it was so hard to get them, and he said there was just no demand or need for them. So I said how about hen you are lifting a certain weight, and maybe five pounds (2 – 2 ˝s) is just too much to go for the next increment, wouldn’t it be a good idea to add a pound at a time and build up slowly? So the guy, who is about 5’-4" and 140 Lbs, says, "Nah, go for the 5, or even 10 pounds, that’s what I always do"!! Unbelievable!!

I have to say I’ve never dealt with any mailorder company that was so great. I can’t believe I actually receive personal letters (and no form letters) from people that actually seem interested in my training and are willing to help. I’ve been active and stayed in shape aerobically over the years and I’m a hardcore practitioner of karate for the past 15 years. The small discs are great, they work wonders. My first small weight increments were wheel balancing weights from an automobile tire shop. I grouped them together in small pouches weighing ˝ and ź Lbs and hung them on the ends of the bar. I took way too much time fastening them and removing them between exercises and sets. Thanks to you, slowly but surely I acquire the little gems.

My store bought Ivanko Olympic plates are fairly accurate – but not accurate enough for small increments!
